Dr. Bruce Farmer 

Entrepreneur, emergency room physician, professor of science & theology


 

A far-ranging and adventure-packed life has taken author Dr. Bruce Farmer to multiple countries and through multiple careers. From practicing emergency room medicine to teaching at a small at a small liberal arts college as a Professor of Science and Theology, Dr. Farmer draws upon a life filled with diverse experiences in crafting his distinctively unique approach to writing. 

After suffering traumatic back injuries in 2003 and 2007, Dr. Farmer was inspired to research physical rehabilitation and postural therapy. His research and learning ultimately led him to develop a new approach to treating and relieving lower back  pain and restore fitness naturally called BACK IN ACTION Tri-Zone Movement Therapy—now being studied at the OHSU Dept. of Rehabilitation.

A father and grandfather, Bruce has three children, five grandchildren and greatly enjoys adventures in the outdoors. As a lifelong hiker, mountaineer and skier, Bruce enjoys the challenges and character that the outdoors can uncover. He has summited numerous mountains throughout the Cascades range in Oregon and Washington. Dr. Farmer lives in Portland, Oregon. Blood Sapphire’s Revenge is his first novel.
